First Impressions: Colour Trend Kiss 'n' Go Lipsticks

If you're like me and when you think of Colour Trend you'll think it's cheap products for younger girls. I myself bought some make up from Colour Trend when I was in my early teens and I absolutely LOVE it and I believe that love is coming back.
I bought Kiss 'n' Go lipsticks in Rich Berry, Vino Disco and Raisin Wine, £3.50 each normally but they're on an offer right now, 3 for £5 a saving of £5.50!

Raisin Wine, Rich Berry & Vino Disco

Swatches

Raisin Wine, Vino Disco & Rich Berry

My lips without anything on (for colour change)

Raisin Wine

Rich Berry

Vino Disco

Out of all of them I LOVE Raisin Wine and Rich Berry, but Vino Disco was a bit of a disappointment. It didn't apply as smooth as the others and trying to clean up the edges was difficult because the colour does that horrible staining that some other lipsticks do. Also the lipsticks look completely different from in the campaign booklet especially the pink looking ones, so make sure you look online for reviews about them!

On the plus side none of them feel drying and them Smell AMAZING. Raisin Wine smells like Chocolate, Vino Disco smells of Vanilla and Rich Berry smells of chocolate but a different kind of chocolate, very odd. I've had Raisin Wine on while writing this and it's stayed very well.

Overall, I really like them and for how much you're paying they are worth it!

Review: Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief

Short review today.
As I'm sure most of you know the magazine Glamour has been giving away Clinique products with their 10 year anniversary issue for only £2. I'm more of a Cosmo girl so I never noticed the magazine until I read others blogs going mad over it.

Last week I popped into my nearest Sainsbury's to pick up a copy with the Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief. I thought if it's £30 for 50ml it has to be amazing, but it wasn't as much as I had hoped.

The product is good I'll give it that, it moisutises, it absored in to my skin fast and left my skin feeling kinda powdery, but overall my skin didn't feel any different to how it is when I use my Simple light moituriser (125ml for £3.49 - Superdrug) and I certainly won't be buying the little jar for £30 anytime soon.
I give this a 6/10

Review: Simple's Oil Balancing Exfoliating Wash

I love Simple, always have since day one of trying their products - their products always make my skin feel soft and healthy! I noticed Superdrug having a 3 for 2 on Simple products 2 weeks ago so I had a little splurge. I bought Clear Skin Oil Balancing Exfoliating Wash,  Kind to Skin Refreshing facial gel wash and Kind to Skin Pore Minimising Toning Cleanser. I will get on to do a review of the Facial gel and the Toning Cleanser in the future but for now it's all about the Exfoliating Wash.

The product is a clear gel consistency with lots of little blue exfoliating beads. The wash doesn't strip your skin of oil like most exfoliators - leaving you skin to produce double the amount of oil and breaking out!- because of an ingredient called Zinc PCA which absorbs excess oil, leaving your skin with the right amount of oil so it wont become dry.
Another great ingredient in it is Witch Hazel. Witch Hazel has many uses when it comes to skin care, it's a
disinfectant, astringent, anti-irritant, it reduces swelling and inflammation and it does not disrupt the pH balance of the skin.
Even though I have very good skin and get a minimal amount of spots normally*, I did see a dramatic change in the amount, size and redness of the few I got.
The only problem I have with this product is the beads don't get rid of many blackheads on my nose when using it, so I have to get the annoying pore strips out.

Overall I give this product a solid 9/10 because it is an amazing facial wash!
If you have any skin type especially acne prone or very oily skin I tell you now to go out and get it because it will help controling your skins natural oil production.

*I have normal skin and get maybe 1 or 2 spots a week at most.

Review: bhcosmetics 2nd edition 120 Pallet

I first laid my eyes on the pallet in an xsparkage video, it looked absolutely amazing! I looked at their website and thought the $29.95 for the 2nd edition was reasonable but then the postage was about $25 and my dreams of owning one were shattered...or so I thought.
A few weeks later I came across them on Twitter and noticed they were doing a giveaway. All you had to do was tell them what you liked most about their products. I entered thinking I had no hope in hell however myself and 6 other lucky girls won.
The mailing time was about a week and a half (from the US to the UK). It arrived in a medium sized box and was well protected on the inside with brown paper and bubble wrap.

Pros
- The colour pay off/opacity on most of the colours is great -so much so you don't need a base to make it stand out- and there's no need to really push your brush into it to get more colour.
- It has a mix of shimmery and matte colours that are very similar which is good if you want just one colour but want a bit of shimmer in certain places.
-  It has pretty much every colour you could ever need.
- The packaging is great, it's simple and there's a little tag to pull up the pallet from beneath without your fingers slipping in to a shadow the process.

Cons
- The light blues don't apply to my eyelid very well and don't stand out as much as I'd like.
- I thought the pallet as a whole and the shadows themselves would be bigger.
- Shipping out of the US is pretty expensive, almost as much as the product itself.

Overall I really liked it and I'd give this 8/10

P.S. Their website has 20% off sale on 120 pallets right now for a limited time
